About Pizzeria Salvy

The latest from acclaimed Chef Marc Vetri, Pizzeria Salvy borrows its name from Marc’s beloved father, Sal. β€œMy father has been at the center of everything when it comes to my restaurant career,” says Marc. β€œFrom the meatballs to the family meals he has made for the last 25 years, it’s only fitting that we dedicate this project to him." Pizzeria Salvy offers a curated selection of 12-inch pizzas, as well as Philly style slices at lunch. Salads, seasonal vegetables, and (of course) Sal’s Meatballs round out a menu inspired by heritage and heart, family and Philadelphia.

Located at 1800 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, Pizzeria Salvy operates as a restaurant serving Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Because this group is broad, recent reviews and photos are a better guide than the category alone. Most kitchens in Philadelphia will adjust a dish for common dietary needs such as vegetarian or gluten-free if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: bars open late and cafes close early. Happy-hour pizza deals are common at bars across Pennsylvania on weekday afternoons, and many casual restaurants take reservations online through third-party platforms while fast-food spots are walk-in only.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–2 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Pizzeria Salvy at (267) 324-5764; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, pizzeriasalvy.com.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 56 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded restaurants in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Philadelphia peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is the closest I've felt to an Italian pizzeria since... Italy. I was looking around the whole time I was eating like ... Am I really in the basement of the Comcast building?! Eating like this?! It is so unprepossessing, with the feel, service, and pizza of a genuine neighborhood pizzeria in Testaccio. From the attention to fresh, local ingredients to the casual but elegant vibe of the place and the handmade, complimentary biscotti with the espresso... I honestly teared up a little. It's so hard to find a comfortably elegant place with a thoughtful, concise menu, reasonablly sized portions, and reasonable pricing. The seasonal caprese salad with the local peaches was an explosion of flavor because everything was local and seasonal and handmade and simple and perfect. It's a little piece of Testaccio in downtown Philly. How delightful to find this in the first floor of what looks like a corporate office building. Perfetto. 12/10.

I came to Salvy after a long shift , just wanting to take my slice home , and was delighted with the best service that made me feel like I could complete to more shifts! Jon miller , the server was so light hearted and kind. He immediately recognized me and assisted me with my order. I felt so seen. He offered me a seat and water which was much needed after a long night , as I waited on my Pizza to come out. I can’t wait to actually dine in at Salvy and I truly hope Jon is my server for the experience!

Booked pizzeria Salvy for a valentines dinner and felt a bit embarrassed after for picking this over all the selection in Philly! My main issue is the location / decor of the restaurant. It’s in the basement of the Comcast building and as you approach the restaurant it’s like being in the underground level of a mall. I feel like the restaurant could do more to make their section more intimate by having shutters around but instead you just see this open basement. We ordered the chopped salad, sals meatballs and fiorella sausage and peppers. The chopped salad sadly was not good and we ended up leaving most of it - had a super bitter taste. The meatballs were really great, wished ordered two instead of the salad. Pizza was okay, but honestly nothing to write home about. We did see Marc Vetri come in and make some pizzas towards the end which was pretty cool! Overall, I’d only recommend this restaurant if you work in the building. Excited to try some of Marc’s other locations but this just wasn’t it for an evening meal.

Amazing pizza and great service! I had such a lovely experience at this pizzeria in Philadelphia. The server was super kind, flexible, and very attentive the whole time. The pizza was absolutely delicious, you can tell everything is made fresh right there, even the ice cream! The ice cream was also fantastic, and we even got a little surprise treat with it, which was such a nice touch. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food and warm service!

An unexpected location! The pizza was outstanding, with a casual vibe elevated by finesse in true Vetri style. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, and the cocktails we tried were excellent. Definitely a spot worth seeking out.
